What would it take for you to consider your self self sufficient?

If you had all the money you wanted what would you do?  Would you consider your self sufficient? Is self sufficiency just a mater of money? If you can answer these questions honestly then you are ahead of 99% of the people in the world. The following is stolen from another blog on self sufficiency but it applies to all of us and is a subject that we should consider. In the movie “ON DEADLY GROUND” the question is asked, “When is enough, enough.” You need to answer this question for your self. When you have that answer your life becomes simpler and reaching your goals quicker.

Have you ever tried to define self sufficient?

If you have ever tried to answer this question in detail then you have faced a lot of tough choices. It seems to me that self sufficient is a condition defined by the individual. Here are a few points that I think are wroth discussing:

• Does self sufficiency just apply to money?
• Does it mean that you can supply all of your own needs, lock the gate and say good bye world?
• Is it a path of life somewhat between all of the conventional life styles?
• Do I grow all of my own food?
• Do I produce all of my own energy?
• Do I need my neighbors?

If you can answer all of these questions then you know what self sufficiency means. My definition of self sufficiency is that it is a path for life. On this path I will do my best to provide for my family and protect Mother Earth to the best of my ability. This means to me that I find a way to make enough money support my family. It also means that I will grow as much of my own food as possible. If I can I will produce as much of my own energy as possible. If I can’t produce my own energy then I will be energy consensus and save as much energy as possible.

My plan to self sufficiency is long and involved consisting of may steps to complete.

BLACK WEDNESDAY

What  I am  hoping is that black Wednesday does not turn into white Friday or red Saturday? White Friday would be the day that everything that you posted on the internet would need to be reviewed by a political reviewer before it was published. This would include blog posts, email, and especially any business related posts. Facebook posts and comments would not be allowed. How did this happen? The passage of SOPA and or PIPA gave so much power to the leadership hierarchy that everything must be reviewed for political correctness. I am glad I did not have to write those words.

We missed white Friday this time but unless we are vigilant it will eventually happen. The lesson learned is that as large and powerful as Google and Amazon are they were helpless to do anything without the power of the people. Thomas Jefferson said that “The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.” If we get to white Friday it is just a step away from red Saturday.

What is red Saturday? Red Saturday is the day that the people get feed up with the system that is controlling them. Thomas Jefferson in one of his lesser know (read that suppressed books) said that a little blood in the streets of a republic from time to time was a good thing. He was referring to oppressive government. The key word is republic as this country was not founded as a democracy but as a republic. If you don’t know the difference then now is the time to do your homework.

What can we do to avoid white Friday and red Saturday? There are a number of things that will put you in a position to avoid and survive these times if they should occur:

• The greatest and best thing that you can do is get out of debt. This is the current control mechanism and is currently used to control the people.
• Plan your life and live your plan.
• Do your very best to do what is right in your life.
• Store a year’s supply of food and clothing.
• Develop an emergency cash fund at home not in the bank.
• Get to know your neighbors as they are the ones that can help you and you can help them when things get rough.
• Be active in your community and local government—keep an eye on them.
• Be an informed citizen—willing to make whatever sacrifice is necessary to preserve constitutional government.

These are not things that a terrorist does; these are things that any well prepared citizen does. Personal success is determined by planning and action.

If the citizens are prepared and informed we won’t need to have another black Wednesday. A prepared citizenry will support The Constitution of the United States of America. All of us at sometime in our lives have sworn to uphold and protect the Constitution—now we need to honor that pledge.

Have you ever wondered how to get extra cash by working at home? With the economy going the way that it is many of us will probably be home because of layoffs anyway.

• How can we make this time productive?
• What does it take to start a home business?
• Am I good enough to run my own business?
• How much will it cost?
• Who will teach me?
• Can I trust the guru’s?
• How can I manage my time to get all of the tasks necessary to start a business done?
• Do I need a mentor?

These are just a few of the questions that you need to answer about starting your own home based business. Here are a few simplistic answers. Unless you are well versed in marketing you will probably need a mentor. This does not mean that you need to enroll in an expensive coaching program. Find someone who does business in a manner that you are comfortable with and copy their style and actions. My favorite is Dennis Becker. He wrote and ebook called 5 Bucks a day. This is a great place to start.

He offers some other great stuff also. If you have some cash to spend on learning the business of internet marketing you need to be part of his insider club.

The concept is to set up any type of marketing site that will earn you five buck a day. Anyone can do this. This is the place to start to begin a home based business.

What is the Law of Attraction? Is it just wishful thinking? Have you ever done this? You drive into a parking lot at Walmart and you wish for parking place near one of the doors. Did you get it maybe yes maybe no. Have you ever done this. Say, “My parking place will be in the second row from the food door four spaces in.” I you have and really meant it and expected that to happen then most likely you got that parking space. I have done this so many times my wife laughs and now accepts that we will get a really good parking place. Many time the parking place is better than I spoke about.

This brings me to the Book by James Allen, written in the early 1900’s, AS A MAN THINKETH he states in this book that all things occur first in thought. Scriptures from many religions state the “First there was the word.” From these concepts I conclude that everything is first created by words and thoughts.
The quotation “The man who says he can and the man who says he can’t are both right” is attributed to Henry Ford. In my 69 years of observation of human nature, there has never been an instance that I recall where this quotation is not true. Word for the wise: “Watch what you think and say.” The computer folks best explain this with the phrase “Garbage in Garbage out”. You mind, God and the universe will create what you think.

You need to study the Law of Attraction to use it and to successfully apply it in your life. How can you do this? Step one, get some information on the law of attraction. Step two, decide what you want to attract in your life. The best example of this is how I attracted the wife I needed. These are the things that I did. First I observed as many successful marriages as I could. I considered what the good things that these couples had. At this time I was newly divorced and probably bitter. Then I made a list of the characteristic that I thought my mate should have. The rest is history. I married the lady of my dreams and we have been married for 41 years. Have we ever had any disagreements. Yes, in fact quite often. To me this proves the Law of Attraction. My only regret is that I did not apply this principle more fully in my life. This resulted in an order to quit operating a repair business until a special use permit was obtained and the site cleaned up.  Our friends at Rattlesnake Mountain Enterprises Inc. don’t mind  cleaning up as they have been trying to get that done for three years without any help from the county.  This time the sheriff’s office was prompt and courteous then immediately completed the legal inspections necessary to allow removal of the Abandon vehicles.  All but 4 of the old vehicles have been removed at a cost to the business of about $20,000.  The loss of business to date has been over $30,000 to this repair shop.  The total to-date that this complaint cost the community is in excess of $50,000.  All of this occurred be cause of a self righteous real estate agent that need an excused for not selling peoples property.  I hope that the people of the Benton City Community will not list  property with or patronize this business.

A much better method would have been to have come to this business and explained what they thought was preventing their sales in the area.  I know for a fact if these folks would have offered to help with a clean up, the community would have helped as they currently are.  Since this business had been licensed by the State of Washington since 1998 Benton County could have notified the business that they needed as special use permit and given they 180 day to get it.  This type of action would have allowed the business to operate and have prevented a bankruptcy that will cost the residents of Benton County and the State of Washington tens of thousands of dollars in direct business losses for accounts payable.  A little history, in 1998 Terry Martin of the building department told the folks that started this repair business that no county permits were needed.  I guess the law changed and the business owner was not notified or the county was wrong in the beginning.

When the compliance officer who was given final jurisdiction by the Benton County Prosecutors Office was asked for an extension to the order to keep the business open until a special use permit was issued she said go  ahead and operate your business but if we get another complaint the fine will be $500.00 per day.  This business Rattlesnake Mountain Enterprises Inc. has always tried to comply with the law and immediately took down their sighs and ceased to operate.  An application for a special use permit was made immediately, a public hearing was held and last week a letter was received with 17 condition that the business would have to meet in order to be allowed to conduct business.  It is estimated that these conditions will cost an estimated $30,000 to implement.  This brings the total loss cause by one self righteous act to over $80,000.

The result is that this single act has forced the owners of this business into personal bankruptcy.
